Neo-Nazi leader hails Bashar al-Assad

  1. I don’t recall any of their leaders posting Valentines to Saddam Hussein like Richard Spencer has to al-Assad. This is more than opposing American war. It is about the construction of a Red-Brown international based on a hatred of Muslims. This is why David Duke writes in favor of al-Assad. This is why Ann Coulter retweets Max Blumenthal and Ben Norton’s garbage about al-Qaeda in Idlib. If you weren’t such a filthy crypto-Stalinist, this would be as plain as day.

  2. Louis Proyect is living proof that US Trotskyism is merely the left wing of imperialism. He is one step away from republishing State Department memos on this blog.

  3. John Wight, the most shameless Assadist whose cynicism knows no bounds–a guy who had the balls to defend barrel-bombing by using Dresden as a precedent on a website that has praised Stalin and Churchill. This sick crypto-Stalinism is so much worse than what was going on the 1930s because at least back then the CP’ers could con themselves into believing that the Moscow Trials were necessary to defend socialism. But how do you end up pimping for Putin, a scumbag murdering thief building a fascist international with Le Pen, Jobbik, UKIP on his side? I’d rather eat rat poison than write the propaganda that Wight pumps out. I hope that the money he gets from the Kremlin pays for his beer because what it does to his credibility comes at a much greater expense.

  4. Just a few men with beards who believe in Sharia, you said. Tell that to the women who’ve been abducted and sold as sex slaves by these “men with beards”, or the Christians, Shia, and others who’ve had their heads sawn off. A man without ethics is a wild beast loosed upon the world.

Take a bow Louis. You’re swimming in shit. Al-Qaeda’s man in New York.

  5. Nice Bill Maher imitation, John.

  6. Hey John, good to c u again compadre!

Are Nusra and Daesh LITERALLY HITLER, or just close enough to for Dresden to be a valid precedent?
What if Assad is HITLER, should Damascus he be nuked? (just playing devil’s advocate here, haha)

What’s the current AXIS of Fascism: Poroshenko+Baltics+Soros+ISIS/Nusra (+/-) Zionism) (+/-) Trump? Do you think Putin+Assad+TulsiGabbard+Mullahs can beat them back, now that The Donald joined THE EMPIRE? Russia needed the US in WWII to kill Hitler, but now it’s standing largely alone and I’m scared. Man do you need to have a 128d chess mindset to save the world, haha.

I’ve been watching the Russian TV for a long time, but I still don’t have a handle on how to SMASH FASCISM. Please help and thanks in advance! No Pasaran!

  7. John Wight, you do know that the Iranian theocracy is like the OG of the jihadis, right?

They stone women to death for adultery; they spread all manner of superstitions about the inevitable coming of the 12th Imam, the Shiite messiah; they export ‘siqhe’ brides (temporary marriage is legal with the Shiites, and so the Revolutionary Guards, export such temporary brides); they claim to have instituted Sharia’ in Iran; on and on it goes.

The Iranian jihadis (the Qods brigades) are the main foot soldiers for the butcher Assad, and they are also major recruiters of desperate Afghani’s who get sent to fight and die for Assad, just so their families can get Iranian citizenship, so that their kids can actually go to school in Iran (otherwise, as refugees they’d be denied all social services in Iran), so that they, as Afghans who are considered the local ‘sub-humans’, can have a ‘normal’ life in Iran.

Now, irony of ironies, Iran helped the Americans to destroy both Afghanistan and Iraq.

Iranian jihadis good; Syrian jihadis bad!

Well done comrade, supporting Iranian theocracy while you claim to be opposed to Syrian jihadis!

  8. Sid Deng, In case you’re talking to me …

I, like hundreds of millions of decent principled people around the world, many millions of them Syrian, didn’t want the U.S. government to bomb anybody, anywhere, anytime. I didn’t want the Russians to bomb anybody, either. Likewise, I didn’t want the Lebanese Hezbollah to be bombing and blowing people up in Syria. I also didn’t want our not-so-beloved Iranian government to be killing anybody in Syria, nor did I want to see trillions of dollars of wealth of our combined nations wasted on pushing malignant agendas in Syria, with nothing to show for it but blood of hundreds of thousands of innocents, and the uprooting of millions of destitute Syrians.

What did I really want to see? I wanted to see the game played out on an even field. People v. the dictator and his local goons. Mono-e-mono. All foreigners out! Including idiots like you.

YOU are the one who’s happy with Russians bombing the Syrians. YOU’re the one happy with the Iranian jihadis running torture camps in Syria. You’re the one who’s silent and happy as pig in shit, as long as the U.S. is not bombing Syrian government-owned asphalt. When the U.S. dropped bombs on a mosque killing some 200 people, were you as outraged? Were you as moved? Did you even notice? I bet not. YOU are the disease.

  9. “I, like hundreds of millions of decent principled people around the world,”

Christopher Hitchens redux. What a piece of shit.

  10. Apparently feeling insufficient love from dearest Vladimir, John Wight has taken to venting his spleen in the pages of Ron Paul’s so-called Institute for Peace and Prosperity (http://ronpaulinstitute.org/archives/featured-articles/search-results/?author=John+Wight).

Last month Wight offered this gem of left-wing wisdom:

Perhaps the most grievous aspect of the military campaign in support of regime-change in Tripoli was the fact that for most of the previous decade, Libya under Gaddafi had been an economic and strategic partner of the West, ending decades of enmity and isolation, with Western oil companies in particular benefiting from Gaddafi’s volte-face where Western governments were concerned.

Has he been supping with Rex Tillerson? What right does this turncoat and shameless panderer have to speak in any socialist forum? No wonder he’s been reduced to hysterical name-calling and personal attacks. He’s clearly for sale to the highest bidder.

  11. “Christopher Hitchens redux.” Really? We have a saying in Persian that translates to: Sinners think everybody else is a sinner. Or, in European psychoanalytic language, you’re just projecting now!

YOU are the Hitchens in this case, you piece of horse manure. YOU are the one who’s upholding Assad as the ‘secularist’ who should be supported, otherwise all the forces of jihad will be unleashed on Syrian people, not recognizing the Iranian theocratic forces as jihadis. YOU are the one who’s silent about a mosque bombardment in which 200 innocent people were killed by the U.S., but now that a piece of airport asphalt of the ‘secularist’ Assad is bombed, you’re shitting your pants.

I know you don’t allow us Middle Eastern people any agency, but we are aware of our political environment. We know who are the butchers and who are the fucking hypocrites.

  12. John Wight is so dim that he probably simultaneously believes the Kremlin’s half dozen or so conspiracy theories about MH17.

Tell us, Johnny old boi, do you know anything at all about Russia’s information war? Their troll factory was hacked back in 2014 and several former trolls interviewed. They pander to USEFUL ID1OTS like you!

  13. Assad or someone in his hierarchy thought it would be fine with Trump if he gassed his own people one more time. He could have gone on barrel-bombing them until the end of time and Donald Trump wouldn’t have responded.

Now the son of a bitch has not only committed an atrocity surpassing even his own bestial standard (and that of that foul-mouthed, murdering dwarf Putin), he has given Trump the means of climbing at least part of the way out of the deep grave the bastard had begun to dig for himself politically. This will work in the long run to the destruction not only of the Syrian people but also to the destruction of many others wherever the U.S. imperialist writ runs.

Our cup runneth over–with poison enough for everyone.

Why the Counterpunch imbeciles can’t see this is a mystery on par with the late Alexander Cockburn’s foible for the likes of Pat Buchanan and Paul Craig Roberts. They are blaming anyone but Assad and Putin.

When will people learn to think?
