The video had many interesting details that were new to me. I was particularly interested in the notion that although the political model changed in 1990, in the end, the same class of connected players maintained power. Only the visible tip of the iceberg changed. The ease with which the Soviet system was transformed into criminal capitalism with a democratic veneer shows just how badly it failed at its socialist pretensions.
