Louis Proyect: The Unrepentant Marxist 
There are so many interesting and appalling facets; the person who actually teaches the I/P history course was paid for by the Schusterman Family Foundation, blatant Lobby; it was supposed to be for 2 years but she’s still here as a visiting prof. She takes a “narratives” approach. Another local Zionist stalwart, econ prof Fred Gottheil, puts stuff up at “American Thinker” along with Weissberg; very scummy. Even though I’m critical of the Program for Jewish Culture and Society in relation to I/P, I’ve been heartened by Michael Rothberg and a couple of other more “new guard” scholars, Harriet Murav and Bruce Rosenstock. I’m just waiting to see if they are willing to take any real risks in relation to Salaita. There’s a possibility here for a small but important victory here, that would be a sign of the times. Big rally tomorrow.
