  1. I wonder what percentage of people who consider themselves leftists but who nevertheless voted for Obama are now so ashamed of themselves that they won’t be fooled again?

  2. One here, although I’m in my early 20’s and really just now learning about the existing leftist positions beyond democrats. At the very least, seeing the democrats failing nearly as hard as republicans has probably driven others like me to search for what else is out there. And I suspect that without much of the cold war era bias built up, the actual value contained in more radical anti-systemic ideals is quite attractive, let alone how much more progressive the current policies could & should be.

  3. Good for you Gus, I mean, at least you’re a young person actually thinking about politics (who gets what?) and realizing how fucked people with progressive instincts are in this day and age, participating like hearded goats in this 2 party fraud of an alleged democracy.

You found a site like this for starters. You’re wondering in earnest about political alternatives. Thus you’re easily forgiven by somebody like me who just turned 48 on 12/16 and who has participated in innumerable struggles around the globe.

The “lesser of 2 evils” philosophy of my contemporaries is long time bankrupted.

Next time you punch a card make it anybody but the RepubliCrats, who when they’re not succumbing to the interests of Big Oil they’re licking the boots of the bosses, bankers and landlords — a choice between rich white guy party A and rich white guy party B (Obama’s Kenyan father notwithstanding).

  4. I did feel this government was a step in the right direction. In fact part of me still does.

I’m not willing to give up just yet. With such a little majority in the house,(at best) surely it has to be a case of slowly slowly catchey monkey.

  5. So in other words you choose to continue to be part of the problem rather than the solution to the one party plutocracy with 2 factions bickering over how to best screw working people both at home and abroad. Thanks for nothing. The blood of the victims of three imperialist wars is forever on your hands.
