Woah, that’s freaky, I was watching that earlier today, after following a couple youtube links from one of those National Airlines “Fly me” commercials.
The father is played by Jack Kelly, who played a would be Lothario lusting after Ann Francis in “Forbidden Planet” (1956), and later found success as Bret (or Bart?) Maverick in the Western TV show about the adventures of four brothers, all gamblers (James Garner and Roger Moore appearing occasionally).
Also, like Hollywood Indians, they forget how to contract verbs

Blow against the Patriarchy there toward the end! And wasn’t that Jack Webb of Dragnet fame, appearing right where the cloip ends?

And I seem to recall a familiar voice right at the beginning.
