We supposedly don’t have death panels in America, but if you need a life saving transplant and are not age desirable, you are condemned to die because our system values the saving of younger patients.
My aunt was 69 when she went on dialysis and needed a kidney transplant but couldn’t get one because of her age and died in 2007.
This isn’t unexpected in a country that treats healthcare as a luxury rather than a human right.
My aunt’s life was worth saving and anyone else’s who is over 65 years of age.
